Avalon Plus is a water-soluble embroidery nonwoven for stabilizing machine embroidery on delicate materials. Used for embroidery on light and delicate materials.

Instructions for using Avalon Plus:
Machine embroidery created by hand: Stretch one or two layers of Avalon Plus into the embroidery frame and draw the motif of your choice using a self-dissolving pen (e.g. Madeira Magic Pen) directly on Avalon Plus. Then mark the outline of the motif 2 x by hand. Then embroider the motif using a grid or small circular movements, but they must still be connected so that the motif does not fall apart after washing the embroidery fabric. Now embroider the motif additionally with a straight or zigzag stitch as desired. When you are finished, remove the Avalon Plus with the embroidery from the hoop. Cut off the excess fabric and wash the remaining part in water. Place the embroidery between two pieces of fabric and iron it dry.
Embroidering on thin fabrics and terry cloth: Place the fabric between two layers of Avalon Plus (sandwich technique) and clamp all 3 layers together firmly in the embroidery hoop. After embroidering, cut off the fabric around the embroidery and wash the remains in water.
Richelieu embroideries: Place the fabric on the Avalon Plus layer and mark the marked holes with a straight stitch. Carefully cut the fabric out of the holes with embroidery scissors, taking care not to damage the underlying embroidery fabric. Then finish the hem with a zigzag stitch. Wash Avalon Plus with water.
