Avalon Film prevents stitches from sinking and stabilizes machine embroidery on delicate and transparent fabrics. Avalon Film also serves as a stabilizer for sewing delicate silk fabrics, as the film prevents the fabric from shifting. The film is water-soluble, translucent and soft. Suitable for e.g. fabrics with high pile and knitted materials.

Instructions for using Avalon Film:
Embroidery of terry, e.g. towels: Cut Avalon Film to the desired length from the roll and place on the front side of the towel. Stretch both tightly in the embroidery frame with the embroidery film on top. After embroidering, tear off the excess Avalon Film along the embroidery - then immerse the embroidery in lukewarm water, this will completely dissolve the remaining embroidery foil.
Machine embroidery: If embroidery foil is required to stabilize the fabric, stretch it under the fabric in the hoop. Otherwise, you can proceed as described above.
Sewing delicate fabrics: Avalon Film is the ideal stabilizer when sewing delicate fabrics such as silk or organza, as Avalon Film prevents the fabric layer from shifting. To do this, place the fabric between two layers of Avalon Film and sew in the usual way. After sewing, carefully tear off the excess foil and remove any residue with water (damp towel or cotton swabs).
Buttonholes in lightweight fabrics: Place the fabric between two layers of Avalon Film and sew the buttonholes. Then carefully tear off the excess foil, remove any residue as described above.
Quilting: Transfer the quilting pattern from the template to Avalon Film using a water-soluble pencil or Madeira Magic Pen. Stitch the Avalon Film onto the fabric. Quilt the pattern. After quilting, carefully tear off the film and dissolve any remaining film in water.
