Registration Marks feature for better placement - this feature allows you to easily and accurately trim your designs.
Includes CanvasWorkspace activation card.
ATTENTION: Can only be used with ScanNCut DX plotters!
ATTENTION: Cannot be used with CM plotters!
Procedure:
To activate the premium crop mark feature, you must purchase the CADXPRNTCUT1 activation card.
Once you have purchased the activation card, log in to the website in your web browser CanvasWorkspace
and open your account in the top right. You will see 4 options, select the "Premium Function Activation" option and enter your code from the activation card in the field under the inscription "Activation Code" and click on "Activate". Now you have the function activated in your account and you can turn on the CanvasWorkspace program on your computer.
In the program, a new box "Premium" will appear on the top bar, click on it and then select the option "Show Registration Mark". You will see special crop (registration) marks in the corners of the pad. A classic home printer will not print a format of this size, so you need to change the format. There are several icons on the right side of the program, select the last one called "Artboard" and in the "Artboard Size" options, select the A4 size.
On the top bar, select the option "File" and then "Import from Your Computer..." and select the image you want to work with on your computer. Place the image in the area bordered by crop marks and a red frame. Create a clipping path around the image or import a .svg file with a clipping path already set up and place it exactly on the edges of the image.
If you already have the file set up like this, select the "File" option again on the top bar and then "Export PDF File" and "Images Only...". This export will create a PDF file that is ready for printing with crop marks. Then in the "File" option, select "Export/Transfer FCM File..." and save the FCM file with clipping paths.
Find the printable PDF file on your computer, but be careful! When printing, do not forget to select print actual file size.
Turn on the cutting plotter and now you need to check if you have the latest updates installed. Press the key in the bottom right and find the "Ver." item in the menu, click on the arrow on the right and then install the updates. If your plotter is connected to Wi-Fi, just click on the right icon and the plotter will search for and install the updates itself. If you do not have access to Wi-Fi, search for update file on this page, download it to a flash drive and update the plotter.
If you already have the plotter updated to the latest version, you can proceed to cutting. Simply stick the printed material on the cutting mat and find your file with the clipping path. The plotter will prompt you to attach the material with the clipping marks, click OK and then start cutting as you normally would. The cutting plotter will first scan the paper and correctly place the template and then cut it.
