    A ruffler foot is designed to easily gather fabric in a single step. The foot features a slot at the bottom for inserting a piece of fabric to be gathered—creating a ruffle along its edge—or allows for the simultaneous insertion of a second layer of fabric into the top of the foot, thereby gathering the bottom layer while stitching it to the ungathered top layer.
