Supplier's perspective: Tulle is sheer; to make its color stand out, it needs to be gathered or layered, so you should factor in a higher material requirement for this purpose. We use size 70 machine needles for sewing; since the material is delicate, we take care to avoid damage, such as tearing, during handling. A major advantage is that the edges do not fray and do not require finishing, though the hems of skirts, dresses, or veils can be trimmed with satin bias tape or ribbon. Always wash finished items gently at the recommended temperature; do not wring them out—simply press the water out lightly. We have found it best to gently squeeze out excess water after washing, hang the item on a hanger, and let it air dry. If ironing is necessary, we recommend testing it on a fabric scrap first, using a low temperature and preferably a pressing cloth.
