Supplier's perspective: This material is delicate and sheer; gathering or layering the fabric—much like with tulle—helps accentuate its color. The edges do not fray. As knit chiffon is delicate and slippery, care must be taken during cutting and sewing to avoid snagging the fabric or causing unwanted pulls. We recommend using a size 75 stretch needle (also suitable for knit fabrics) and ensuring the tip is undamaged to prevent ruining the material while sewing. The knit chiffon shrank by 4% after washing; we therefore recommend accounting for shrinkage when purchasing and pre-shrinking the fabric before cutting. We washed it on a very gentle cycle at 30°C and lightly ironed it at a low temperature. Some sewing experience is recommended when working with this material. Knit chiffon can be combined with various other types of fabrics.
